Installation of an AIC EcoTech Heat Exchanger in North London

Last week an installation team from AIC Environmental Engineering travelled to North London to install an AIC EcoTech Heat Exchanger into an existing medical waste to energy plant.

Weighing in at 24 tonnes, the system consists of a refractory lined entry chamber, to facilitate the transfer of the untreated hot exhaust gas at 1250 Degrees Celsius from the thermal treatment process, through the internal stainless steel blast tubes where the heat exchange takes place as well as a refractory lined exit chamber to facilitate the cooler gas for delivery to the in situ pollution control system for treatment at 300 Degrees Celsius.
